The Discovery Assessment

Start by being understood.

One unhurried conversation to make sense of your health story — and decide, together, whether I'm the right fit. No obligation. Nothing sold in the room.

What this actually is

A conversation, not a sales pitch.

Most first visits are rushed and end with a prescription. This one is built to do the opposite — to give your story the time it deserves before anyone talks about treatment.

45–60 minutes

Real time to talk, in person or by telehealth — not a seven-minute slot.

$150, flat

Cash-pay and transparent. Pricing for anything beyond this is shared before it's ordered.

No obligation

Leave informed whether or not you continue. Understanding is the point.

What happens, step by step

Four steps, in one unhurried hour.

You'll never wonder what comes next. Here's the whole path.

Tell your story

Where it started, and what it's cost you.

We start with you — the full timeline, in your words. What you're feeling, what you've already tried, and what's been dismissed. This is the part most visits skip. It's where I start.

Review together

Symptoms, history, and goals — as one picture.

We walk through your symptoms, health history, any labs you bring, and what you actually want to feel like again. I connect the threads out loud so you can see the pattern taking shape.

Determine testing

What's worth measuring — and what isn't.

If testing will answer your questions, we decide which — through Rupa and Access Labs — and why each one matters. No shotgun panels. Test, don't guess. If nothing is needed, I'll tell you that too.

Get your roadmap

A clear direction you can actually follow.

You leave with a personalized direction and an understanding of the why behind it — not a bag of products. If we move forward, this becomes the foundation of your plan.

So there are no surprises

What the Discovery Assessment is not.

Naming this plainly matters more than pretending it's everything to everyone.

Not a sales visit

You won't be pressured, and nothing is sold or started in the room. Recommendations come after understanding.

Not billed to insurance

ONYX is cash-pay. That's what buys the time and the attention this visit is built around.

Not a full treatment day

It's the first, foundational conversation — not the day you start every therapy at once. Sequence beats stacking.

To get the most from it

Come with these, if you have them.

Recent labs

Any bloodwork from the last year or two, even the "normal" ones — especially those.

Your medications

A list of what you take, including supplements and doses.

Your timeline

When things changed, and what was happening in your life then.

Your top concerns

The two or three things you most want to understand and feel differently.

Don't have some of these? Come anyway. Your story is the most important thing you'll bring.

Before you book

Straight answers.

What exactly is the Discovery Assessment?
A 45–60 minute conversation, in person or by telehealth, to understand your health story, review your symptoms, history, and goals, and decide what testing — if any — is worthwhile. It's $150, with no obligation to continue.
Will you sell me a treatment plan during the visit?
No. Nothing is sold and no plan is pushed in the room. The purpose is understanding. Any recommendations come afterward, only once we know what we'd be treating and why.
Do you take insurance?
ONYX is cash-pay. The Discovery Assessment is $150, and pricing for anything else is shared before it's ordered. Direct primary care, if you choose it later, is a membership for primary care services — it is not health insurance and is not a substitute for it.
Will I get labs done that day?
Sometimes, but not always — it depends on what we decide together. The assessment is where we determine which testing is actually worth doing, so it's purposeful rather than reflexive.
What if I decide not to move forward?
Completely fine. It's designed so you leave informed either way. If I'm not the right fit, you'll still walk away understanding more about your health than when you arrived.

One conversation

The first step is simply being heard.

If you've been dismissed, rushed, or handed a prescription with no explanation — this is the visit that does it differently.
